***The deadline for applications to this position is 7/30/26***A Brief OverviewThe Area Construction Manager supports the Director of Construction and Division VP of Operations in all aspects of construction, training, scheduling, quality control, and budget within their assigned communities. The Area Construction Manager coordinates the construction process with Superintendents to ensure that View homes are completed as scheduled at the company's cost target. As a leader in this organization, it is imperative that the Area Construction Manager maintain a mindset of continual improvement and work diligently to foster a culture of continual improvement within your team, your department, and the company.
What you will do- Oversee the construction, inspection and scheduling of the entire home using BuildPro, inspection forms/checklists, plans, and procedures.
- Regularly check in with Superintendents on neighborhood team meetings, customer meetings, 'to-do lists', any issues, or problems, and ensure expectations are being accurately established across all points-of-contact.
- Inspect each home under construction (Every Room, Every Home, Every Week) ensuring that the work is done to specifications Ensure timely home completions and deliveries
- Ensure product is delivered on time and that each home is 100% complete, with no open items at closing.
- Interview, evaluate, hire, train, motivate, supervise, and discipline all personnel under direct supervision.
- Schedule, prepare, and present seminars to train all departmental personnel, as well as trade partners, and sales staff when needed. This includes testing employees on product knowledge and procedural proficiencies.
- Ensure job progress is updated daily in BuildPro on all assigned jobs in area, confirm by walking and inspecting all homes assigned in area at least once per week.
- Know and enforce all job site rules, regulations, ensuring job site cleanliness, safety, and SWPPP processes are being followed properly.
- Regularly conduct field/safety meetings with trade partners, construction staff and sales staff.
- Supervise daily trade partner activities in accordance with job schedules and business partner scopes of work, ensuring effective scheduling and communication through BuildPro.
- Provide trade partner feedback to the Director of Construction concerning the trade partner's timeliness and attention to detail ONLY after you have verified and tried to resolve yourself.
- Ensure that work is in compliance with City or County requirements and building codes Identifying any changes in codes and taking corrective action.
- Verify all EPO requests are viable and are coded correctly before approving them.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Construction.

- Adhere to written Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of this position. Develop and adhere to departmental operating guidelines and company's employee manual.

- Participate in training when needed. This includes learning product knowledge, procedural proficiencies, and computer software.

- This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.
Qualifications- Vocational certification in this field or equivalent work experience in a related field. Required.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in these or related functions. Required.
- DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State Required.
CompensationWe are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $100,800 - $133,400, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer.
