Role OverviewProAg is looking for a dynamic Area Claims Supervisor to lead and support Crop Insurance Adjusters across Ohio to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant claims handling. This role oversees adjuster performance, training, workload distribution, and expense management while maintaining strong knowledge of federal and state crop insurance regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Working closely with Claims Management, Compliance, Marketing, and Underwriting, the Area Claims Supervisor serves as a key escalation point for complex claims and agent concerns and plays an active role in developing talent and supporting business strategies. The position requires frequent travel and the ability to effectively lead and support a remote, field-based team.
In this Exciting Opportunity, You Will: - Manage, coach, train, and evaluate Crop Insurance Adjusters across Ohio, including conducting performance reviews, succession planning, and day-to-day field support.
- Oversee claims handling to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with ProAg procedures, federal and state regulations, and RMA standards.
- Assign claims, review and approve work, assist with reserve setting, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex, sensitive, or disputed claims.
- Partner with Claims Management, Compliance, and Underwriting to support business objectives, resolve field issues, and address regulatory or operational concerns.
- Monitor Loss Adjuster Expenses (LAE), manage staffing and workload distribution, and adjust claims structure to meet changing market or territory needs
- Act as a key point of contact for agent inquiries and concerns, ensuring responsive communication and effective issue resolution.
- Develop and delivery adjuster training, promote best practices, and support the effective use of claims systems and internal tools.
- Model ProAg's core values, maintain clear and consistent communication, and uphold professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
What You Bring- A bachelor's degree in agriculture, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience preferred.
- Current Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification
- A minimum of three years of relevant and progressive crop insurance experience in Claims or Compliance
- A thorough knowledge of adjusting practices, standard, procedures, and proper use of necessary adjusting equipment
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay TransparencyThe pay range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range THMCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
