REPORTS TO | Director of Architecture

WHAT WE'RE AFTER•

Our progressive Architecture Team at our office in Houston, TX seeks a talented Project Manager to lead project teams in the production of architectural drawings and specifications that generate innovative, and buildable, solutions for extraordinary Education projects. We want someone with a desire to exceed expectations and a commitment to ensuring the built environment matches the design intent. We need someone who can give critical insight to project teams on a variety of construction types to help our clients achieve their goals. Bottom line• we want only the best.

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO• .

The Project Manager will be responsible for working with architectural team members and coordinating consultant responsibilities of studies, design, or construction documents of various scale projects.
  • Develop and maintain effective verbal, graphic, and written communication with clients that support positive, long-term relationships.
  • Plan, direct and supervise the architectural team members and coordinate consultant responsibilities of studies, design or construction documents of various scale projects.
  • Interpret, organize, execute and coordinate the development of individual or multiple projects, maintaining oversight to achieve goals of the firm.
  • Assist in the creation and continued development of design concepts through all phases of design.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR NEW ROLE•

We're looking for passionate, driven self-starters. Beyond that, you'll need•
  • 7+ years of professional experience, inclusive of 2-4 years of experience in Education Buildings
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited 5-year program/school
  • Proficiency in REVIT
  • Strong, comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles/practices, including project financial, schedule, and resource planning.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures.
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development.
  • Engaging Communication style with clients, teams and consultants
  • Will be required to have effective verbal, graphic, and written communication skills that support positive, long-term relationships.
  • Must be quality-minded and self-motivated, with the ability to coordinate multiple, constantly shifting priorities with strict deadlines.
  • Experience and proficiency with Education Building projects preferred. Healthcare / Commercial / Institutional market experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with sustainability standards, Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma and Office Suite is preferred.
