Qualifications

  • Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification required
  • CVIP License is a strong asset
  • Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic on commercial trucks
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing Detroit Diesel and/or Cummins engines is preferred

Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

The Role
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment
  • Perform Commercial Vehicle Inspections (CVIP) if licensed
  • Diagnose and repair Detroit Diesel and Cummins engines (asset)
  • Work with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air systems
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow OEM specifications
  • Monday to Friday day shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Education
  • Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification
  • CVIP License is a strong asset
  • Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license is an asset

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic on commercial trucks
  • Detroit Diesel and/or Cummins engine experience is an asset
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
