We are currently seeking a talented and motivated
Application Specialist V for a Full-Time position.
The
Application Specialist V will support mission-critical and enterprise applications, with a strong focus on Microsoft SharePoint and .NET technologies. This role involves application development, deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and ongoing operational support. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise in SharePoint frameworks, and the ability to interface effectively with users and vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, modify, and maintain MS SharePoint server portals and enterprise applications.
- Support mission-critical applications, including configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and user access support.
- Deploy, upgrade, and patch applications as required.
- Implement and manage SharePoint application services framework including: Search, Managed Metadata, User Profile Services
- Develop and manage site content, web parts, workflows, and application capabilities.
- Utilize MS SharePoint Designer and InfoPath for solution development.
- Work with client object models and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Write and maintain stored procedures and complex SQL queries; analyze and interpret SQL data.
- Provide application support and reporting solutions (SQL/reporting exposure preferred).
- Interface with users, stakeholders, and vendors to resolve technical issues and improve application functionality.
- Maintain application documentation and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot performance, access, and system-related issues.
- Resolve highly complex technical problems independently.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of application development and support experience.
- Experience with MS SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts, and workflow creation.
- Strong knowledge of .NET technologies and SharePoint application services framework.
- Experience with SQL development (stored procedures, complex queries, data analysis).
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture and client object modeling.
- Experience supporting federal applications preferred.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentations).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, and scheduling skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle complex technical challenges.
