Responsibilities

Application Project Manager

Position description:

Peraton is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team in support of an Intelligence Community customer in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of System Administrators, Database Administrators, Information System Security Officers, and Information System Security Engineers.
  • Providing overall management and oversight of all IT personnel and activities
  • Facilitating seamless communication between Government and Contractor teams
  • Tracking and documenting all requirements and activities using industry-best standards for continuous Government monitoring and evaluation
  • Evaluating the Agency's existing systems and recommending solutions.
  • Leading a team in the analysis of Agency needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete solution.
  • Assigning project staff to various applications and monitoring deliverables to ensure Agency needs are met successfully and in a timely fashion.
  • Gathering feedback and suggesting new products/services or making recommendations for improvements to existing products/services.
  • Providing expert guidance on the integration and implementation of Company's solutions into a wide variety of Agency environments.
  • Monitoring technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
  • Working closely with Government customers as well as with the Prime Contractor.
Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph (or ability to obtain SCI and pass polygraph).
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s +10 years relevant experience OR a master’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • At least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Familiarity with COTS Applications, and related engineering, development, integration, and sustainment activities.
  • Experience with Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environments.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, including developers, engineers, and cybersecurity personnel.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and system integration.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks
  • Must be willing to work onsite in a secure facility.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, and Government customers.

Desired qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently
  • Meets SLA response times under high-priority situations
  • Strong written/verbal communication

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
