Job DescriptionAbout the team: As an Application Engineer, you will provide technical support and subject matter expertise to customers by collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. Conduct in-depth customer needs analysis to develop tailored applications and deliver innovative, effective solutions that address real-world challenges and improve customer outcomes.
What you can look forward to as an Application Engineer:- Coordinate the application release of production intent software by managing project gate tasks and reviews.
- Collaborate with the customer, development, testing, manufacturing, service teams, and other stakeholders to address open topics.
- Conduct meetings with customers or the test team to identify software issues, gather CAN and XCP data for root cause analysis, and resolve issues through parameter adjustments or new software releases using flash tools.
- Support new product development by participating in customer workshops, updating software and parameters on vehicle/bench setups, and calibrating/ verifying new functions or systems, providing comparative performance analysis.
- Innovate and improve processes to reduce time and effort, including creating standardized documents and developing software tools to enhance reliability and minimize repetition.
- Follow the application process to include gathering customer requirements, vehicle testing, defining and testing new software requirements, and releasing new part numbers for production
Your profile as an Application Engineer:- Bachelor's degreen in engineering
- At least 2 years of experience in Application Engineering within a relevant field.
- Advanced computer skills, including engineering-specific and office applications.
- Advanced engineering knowledge of widely used concepts, techniques, and processes.
- Thorough understanding of product lifecycle management, design specifications, and product line characteristics.
- Hands-on expertise in engineering change processes, control systems, and associated documentation.
- Strong technical foundation with expertise in engineering methods, practices, and industry benchmarks.
