The Office of Technology Services (OTS) was established as a means of recognizing cost savings through the consolidation of State IT assets and resources. The creation of OTS consolidated a wide variety of existing hardware platforms, operating systems, database management systems, networks, third party software, and custom applications.
OTS leads the State's technology procurement process in order to standardize technology over the entire organization, seek efficiencies of operations, maintenance, and scalability of new products introduced to the OTS suite of services which can eventually be offered to all in-scope agencies.
The following scope of proposed services applies to the Senior Application Programmer:
- Designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs and documents new and existing web applications, maintenance, and support of existing applications.
- Participates in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
- Monitor, review, and audit performance of the OTS Modernization software and make performance improvements.
- Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship and guidance to OTS and Customer-Agency staff for all requested work.
- Participates by providing feedback and detailed design and implementation approaches in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
Skills/Experience Required
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory for the Senior Application Programmer:
- ASP.NET MVC
- C#
- Entity Framework
- SQL Server (T-SQL)
- Five (5) years' minimum experience working in the application development field
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas
are desirable but not mandatory:
- ASP.NET Core
- Entity Framework Core
- VueJS
- Bootstrap
- SSIS
- IIS
- Scrum Methodology
- Distributed Design Systems (SOA/Microservices)
