Overview

Our client is seeking an Application Developer. In this role you will, support the clients multiyear modernization initiative by developing and maintaining modern, secure, cloud-based applications while helping transition legacy systems and processes to a scalable Azure environment.

This opportunity is remote with travel to the clietn site a few times a year. Per our client contract, all candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card Holders.

Responsibilities

  • Apply modern application development frameworks, programming languages, and secure coding practices to application development efforts.
  • Follow software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile.
  • Perform business process analysis, functional design, documentation, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Apply knowledge of TRS business rules, including those specific to the Pension Software System.
  • Understand legacy systems architecture, dependencies, technologies, and integration points.
  • Perform all aspects of application development, including coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and submitting pull requests for TRS staff to review.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain application components that meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop clear, actionable user stories and maintain a prioritized backlog.
  • Develop APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflows.
  • Deliver high-quality work output with minimal defects.
  • Translate technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready software.
  • Collaborate effectively with TRS technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managers.
  • Manage multiple development tasks and meet established timelines.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation:
  • W2 Hourly rate starts at $65. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
  • Benefits vary by compensation type and may include paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and additional optional benefits.
