Midwest Fastener Corp is seeking a Developer to join our software development team. You will contribute to the design, development, and integration of internal and customer-facing applications that support core business operations, including integrations with Microsoft Business Central and other enterprise systems. This is an on-site position. Candidates must work in either our Kalamazoo, MI or Cleveland (Northfield), OH office locations.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Designing and building business applications using modern architectural patterns (N-Tier, MVC, service-based design)
- Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Integrating internal applications with external systems, including ERP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Business Central)
- Designing and optimizing relational database structures and queries
- Contributing to front-end development using modern UI frameworks
- Participating in Agile/Kanban-based development workflows
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred
- Working knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, C++, Visual Basic, or similar)
- Experience or exposure to relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server, SQLite, or similar)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs (development or integration)
- Exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as React, Flutter, or Angular
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience independently delivering features from design through deployment
- Experience working within Agile or Kanban environments
- Solid understanding of SDLC processes
- Experience implementing modern architectural patterns (N-Tier, MVC, layered architecture)
- Experience developing and maintaining production APIs
Preferred Skills:- Experience with .NET development
- Experience integrating ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central, SAP, or NetSuite
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Knowledge of SOLID principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with unit testing or automated testing frameworks
- Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Experience with using of AI
