  • Coordinate across application development, DBA, and Oracle vendor teams to deliver timely resolution of critical or previously unseen database issues.
  • Evaluate and introduce new Oracle features, tools, and technologies to continuously improve database stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Define and enforce database standards and best practices, providing technical advisory to engineering and delivery teams across the organization.
  • Assess and mitigate database-related risks by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing controls in alignment with release and environment management processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5 or more years of deep, applied experience with Oracle databases, including schema design, query optimization, and environment management in enterprise-grade production systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and implement successful technology projects, balancing functional and non-functional requirements across delivery lifecycles.
  • Practical experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and real-time data integration across distributed environments.

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum delivery frameworks and familiarity with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, and deployment automation platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
  • Exposure to modern data technologies including microservices architecture, big data platforms, Hadoop, and cloud storage solutions such as AWS S3.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling and techniques applied within data engineering or database management contexts.
  • Experience providing cross-team technical advisory, including engagement with external vendors and platform teams to define standards and drive resolution of complex issues.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
