Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive evaluations and management of critically ill neuroscience patients in the Neurocritical Care Unit.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Manage patients with conditions including:
- Acute ischemic stroke
- Intracerebral hemorrhage
- Subarachnoid hemorrhage
- Traumatic brain injury
- Status epilepticus
- Post-operative neurosurgical conditions
- Interpret diagnostic studies including imaging, laboratory results, and hemodynamic data.
- Perform procedures within scope of practice and institutional privileges.
- Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination.
- Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients, families, nursing staff, and learners as appropriate.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects.

What We Require:Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Experience: 0
Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP), Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required or Physician Assistant. DEA licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
Other: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers, good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
Compensation Range:$107,993.60 - $172,785.60
Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
