FirstHealth of the Carolinas – a private, not-for-profit healthcare network serving the mid-Carolinas – is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide coverage at our Convenient Care Clinics.
Position Highlights
- Dependable schedule – three 12-hour shifts per week.
- Dedicated administrative time.
- All locations are within 1 hour of Pinehurst, NC.
- Epic EMR.
- Imaging and diagnostic testing on-site.
- Perform all urgent care procedures.
- Well-coordinated process with system EDs for transfer of acute care needs.
- Strong partnership between physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Be a member of the FirstHealth Physician Group, a team of 450+ hospital-employed providers.

Qualifications
- PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
- NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
- Aminimum of 2 years of experience treating all ages in an urgent care/Emergency Medicine setting is required, 3+ years of experience is highly desired.
- Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision making.
- Clean background, unrestricted NC PA/NP license, NC DEA, AHA BLS certification, and DOT certification required.
