Job Details

Supports agency planning against Anti-Terrorism (AT) to include risk management, planning, training and exercise development, and evaluation, resource application, and program reviews. Interprets government regulations and applicable codes and advises government management on the best course of action to ensure compliance. Develops AT-specific programs, procedures, and contingency plans based on a risk approach and proposes solutions that monitor, evaluate, and enable resolution to safeguard the workforce, reduce property loss, and support mission continuity. Oversees the development, integration, and exercise of AT plans and policy. Prepares and conducts AT briefings to educate agency personnel and prepares, coordinates, and submits position and information papers in response to government requirements.

This is a conventional staff position within a government agency that provides oversight and direct support to designated program executive offices supporting the U.S. Army. While functioning in this staff position, the Protection Specialists will actively participate in; and contribute to multiple functional area working groups, focus committees, workshops, and training exercises, as well as the review, interpretation, and revision of existing policies and plans, standard operating procedures, and other internal staffing documents as needed.

Mandatory qualifications: Current Active Secret Clearance

Required Skills

  • Previous experience working in a staff position conducting document research, writing and staffing documents, preparing position and decision papers, executive summaries, information papers, memorandums, after-action reports, and other work-related internal documents.
  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering presentations to senior-level military officers and government executives
  • Knowledge and experience conducting military briefings.
  • Familiarity and experience with the Department of Army facility physical security standards.
  • Experience in coordinating, planning, and executing conferences within the Army Conference guidelines.
  • Proficiency with the use of Army Regulation 25-50 (Preparing and Managing Correspondence)
  • Functional knowledge of and ability to work with Windows-based automation programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SharePoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Travel required as necessary - up to 15%.


Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Basic knowledge of the Army Protection Program (AR 525-2)
  • Previous experience in coordinating, planning, and executing conferences
  • Familiar with the US Army hierarchy, terminology, common acronyms, and rank structure


Salary: DOQ

Mandatory computer-based training modules must be completed within 30 days of assignment to this position.

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use; driving; walking and standing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
