Description
The Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) team is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer to help them on a new long-term project. This is a remote opportunity; however, candidates must be geographically located within a 2-hour drive of the Dayton, OH or Montgomery, AL area to be considered.
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:- Provides technical and Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for the program.
- Research, identify and close stagnant PQDRs.
- Captures, understands, translates, and documents customer requirements.
- Defines system and program requirements; and generates software performance and reliability specifications and requirements.
- Creates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution.
- Manages and documents system configurations and oversees all transitions into production.
- Performs troubleshooting and remediation, ensures successful program changes/migrations, and provides post project end user support.
Requirements
Minimum Candidate Requirements Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen Candidate must have an active DoD Secret ClearanceCandidates must be geographically located within a 2-hour drive of the Dayton, OH (preferred) or Montgomery, AL area to be considered. Candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in the following: - Information system oversight
- Troubleshooting on-premises system-level issues in Windows and Linux
Desired knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesBachelor's degree.
Experience working in Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) for the USAF.
