St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to work out of The Villages location.

About the Position

The Anesthesiologist, M.D.'s role and responsibility are to provide clearances for cataract surgery in our Ambulatory Surgery Center by evaluating patient's vital signs, medical histories, allergies, current medication use, and other risk factors as well as preparing patients for anesthesia, performing monitored anesthesia care, overseeing patient recovery, and caring for the patient's immediate post-operative needs.

  • The role is 5 days per week, but job sharing 2-3 days per week would be considered for the right candidate

Job Skills & qualifications:
  • Florida license required
  • Board Certification required
  • Experience in circulating in and pre-op and recovery of anesthesia patients
  • Stay abreast of new developments and technology in the industry
  • Must be mobile in an office setting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stretching
