DescriptionNeoGenomics is looking for an Anatomic Pathology Training Coordinator who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm with flexibility to facilitate various training class schedules as needed (subject to change based on business needs)
Position Summary:
The Anatomic Pathology Training Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and administration of programs that enhance employee knowledge, technical competency, and professional development within the Anatomic Pathology Department. This role serves as the primary coordinator for the department's Histology Training Program, supporting students from enrollment through successful course completion and licensure/certification readiness. Working closely with the Department Director and departmental leadership, this individual facilitates training for current hires, interns, and/or students to reinforce existing processes and to implement new processes/procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing the department training programs.
- Coordinates with Department leadership team to identify training needs and development plans for individuals and teams as required throughout the program.
- Plans and manages the activities involved in the preparation and assessment of training and development programs most specifically the HT/HTL training program.
- Supports and manages the curriculum for training in the department.
- Assists with the training and development programs that address professional, and organizational needs of employees within the department.
- Possesses the knowledge base to train team members using appropriate training methods per initiative (1:1 training, classroom training, TEAMS, etc. as required)
- Maintains communications with state agencies as required to ensure the HTL training is following state regulations as required.
- Helps employees improve upon and/or enhance existing skills.
- Maintains compliance with the organizational training standards.
- Ability to work on various other training related projects as needed.
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- HT or HTL (ASCP) required, QIHC (ASCP) preferred
- Must hold a valid Florida State Technologist/Supervisor License if employed in FL. State licensure is not required for positions located in CA, NJ, or TX.
- Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology (histotechnology) or Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology (histotechnology).
- 2 or more years of Histology experience preferred.
Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $85,552.62 - $147,578.28 annually, plus bonus
In all instances, the salary paid will satisfy minimum salary laws.
