Full Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Senior Manager in Branch Oversight & Support as part of Consumer Banking & Lending.

Front Line Monitoring (FLM) is evolving from a rule-based monitoring model to an AI-driven, agent-enabled analytics platform focused on speed, scale, and risk clarity. As part of this transformation, we are seeking a high-impact Analytics Senior Manager to lead advanced analytics initiatives and accelerate FLM’s transition to its target-state lifecycle.

This leader will operate at the intersection of risk monitoring, advanced analytics, and AI-driven innovation—bringing a versatile leadership style, strong technologist mindset, and a passion for applying AI in practical, scalable ways. The role focuses on delivering solutions that improve detection of emerging risks while maintaining strong governance and audit defensibility, while helping shape how FLM operates going forward.

What You Will Lead

  • Next-Gen Monitoring Transformation: Lead the shift from traditional rule-based monitoring to an AI-driven, anomaly-focused model, shaping how FLM detects emerging risks with greater precision and speed
  • End-to-End Analytics Lifecycle Ownership: Drive solutions across the full lifecycle—problem framing, data design, model development, and insight delivery—within a scaled, reusable, and configuration-driven environment
  • AI & Innovation at Scale: Champion and operationalize AI, agentic workflows, and coding assistant tools (e.g., Copilot-enabled development) as core to how monitoring is designed, built, and executed—enabling faster, higher-quality delivery while maintaining strong risk and governance standards
  • High-Impact Delivery with Visibility: Partner closely with senior leadership to deliver clear, actionable insights that improve risk clarity and influence decision-making
  • Team & Capability Build-Out: Lead and develop a future-ready, AI-fluent analytics team, operating as a hands-on, versatile leader and technologist who can step in to solve complex problems, guide solution design, and accelerate delivery when needed
  • Shaping the Operating Model: Play a key role in advancing FLM’s target-state lifecycle by combining strategy, execution, and innovation to improve how monitoring is designed, delivered, and scaled across the organization

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced Analytics Leader: Deep experience in analytics, anomaly detection, and data-driven problem solving, with the ability to translate complexity into measurable outcomes
  • Hands-On Technologist: Strong in Python and SQL, with working knowledge of SAS and modern visualization tools, and a track record of building end-to-end solutions
  • AI Champion with Growth Mindset: Demonstrated enthusiasm for AI, LLMs, or intelligent automation, paired with curiosity and a willingness to continuously learn and apply new capabilities responsibly
  • Executive Communicator: Able to simplify and present complex analytics to senior stakeholders and influence across Risk, Business, and Technology partners
  • Versatile, High-Ownership Operator: Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments, brings a solutions-oriented mindset, and flexes between strategic leadership and hands-on execution to drive outcomes
  • People Leader: Builds strong teams, develops talent, and fosters a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading the design and implementation of automated risk monitoring or surveillance solutions across complex environments
  • Strong ability to translate risk and control requirements into scalable, production-ready technical solutions
  • Deep expertise in data-driven monitoring, analytics, and automation frameworks that improve speed, consistency, and coverage
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce manual processes by building reusable, standardized monitoring capabilities
  • Experience partnering across Risk, Front Line, Governance, and Technology teams to deliver sustainable solutions
  • Strong understanding of front-line risk management (FLM), control environments, and regulatory expectations
  • Track record of driving modernization initiatives, including scaling capabilities across multiple lines of business
  • Ability to design solutions that adapt to evolving platforms, products, and risk landscapes
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation
