Date Posted: October 1, 2026Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an Analytic Systems Integrator (ASI) for a pivotal role supporting the Space Warfighting Analysis Center/Spectrum Warfare Program (SWAC/SWP) mission in our Strategic & Military Space Division. This position requires a candidate with a strong background in managing and developing complex space systems, specifically with deep expertise in Space Data Network (SDN) architectures as they apply to the United States Space Force's (USSF) Global Satellite Communications (SATCOM) mission area. The selected candidate will manage the day-to-day force design analysis for the SDN Division, working hands-on with the technical team and interfacing with a diverse group of customers, partners (UARC, FFRDC, SETA), and technical staff to deliver timely and cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive analytical leadership experience and be a confident communicator and will be comfortable briefing everyone from peers and commercial partners to general officers and senior Government leaders in an environment of spirited technical discussion.
This position is onsite, non-remote in Colorado Springs, CO.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer & Partner Engagement:
- Acts as the primary interface to understand and address customer analytical needs
- Develops and nurtures strong partnerships with designated Government offices, engineering leadership teams, and external partners (UARC, FFRDC, SETA)
- Technical & Analytical Leadership:
- Leads complex system analytics by organizing and focusing the work of multi-disciplinary engineering teams on common technical solutions
- Keeps the team centered on the core mission of delivering world-class analytics for the warfighter
- Program Management & Execution:
- Works directly with the Government customer to define clear deliverables, establish deadlines, and manage trade-offs involving scope, approach, cost, and schedule
- Risk Mitigation:
- Proactively identifies, tracks, and mitigates technical and programmatic risks to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality analytics on schedule and within budget
- Strategic Communication:
- Prepares and delivers high-impact papers and briefings on complex technical findings to a wide range of audiences, including general officers, senior Government leaders, and industry partners, often multiple times per year and with short notice
Required Qualifications:- Space Mission Expertise: Must possess a strong and demonstrated background and understanding in national security space system architectures and their direct application to critical space mission areas, such as Global SATCOM, Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR), and Satellite Control
- Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of multi-segment data movement, including:
- Warfighter/tactical edge-to-space links
- Space-to-space crosslinks and relay networks
- Space-to-ground entry points, teleports, and gateway architectures
- Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Must have a degree in engineering or a closely related technical discipline
- Must meet one of the following requirements with highest level of education and years of experience in satellite communications:
- Bachelor's degree and 15 years of experience
- Master's degree and 13 years of experience
- PhD and 9 years of experience
- 20+ years of extensive, directly applicable professional experience in a national security space mission area may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Must have space system experience within the past three years
- Analytical & Project Execution Skills:
- Proven track record managing complex analytics projects with evolving or loosely defined requirements
- Demonstrated ability to decompose complex technical problems into executable tasks and drive consensus across diverse technical opinions
- Strong task management and organizational skills, with experience coordinating geographically dispersed teams composed of prime contractors and subcontractors
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven experience preparing and presenting high-level technical briefings to senior military and civilian executives
- Clearance and Travel:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Top-Secret Clearance
- Willingness and ability to travel as required to support mission requirements
Preferred Qualifications:- 5-10 years of analytical and/or engineering experience focused on Government and commercial SDN architectures supporting the USSF SATCOM enterprise
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data transport mechanics (Warfighter-to-Space, Space-to-Space, and Space-to-Ground entry points) in direct support of the USSF SATCOM Mission Area
- Hands-on experience with DoW enterprise ground systems, including Ground Entry Points (GEP), standard satellite teleports, gateways, and modernized cloud-ground integrations
- In-depth familiarity with tactical user hardware, waveforms, and operational software interfacing with space transport layers
- Prior experience working with DoW space acquisition and force design organizations (e.g., SWAC, SSC, SSDP, or SDA)
- Demonstrated success driving results and delivering critical deliverables within fast-paced, high-visibility defense programs
*Salary Range- $158,000 - $226,000
- Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
