Full Job Description
Under general supervision, the senor specialist, technology communications role helps shape how employees across the Technology organization experience information, connection, and change. This role contributes to high-visibility initiatives that improve communications and digital experience enhancements to bring major employee engagement programs and Technology-wide campaigns to life.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Produce and distribute internal materials using AI-assisted workflows, templates, and repeatable processes.
  • Support recurring communications and Technology communications products, including newsletters, program launch announcements, marketing materials.
  • Maintain and enhance internal digital platforms and channels, including SharePoint, to keep content accurate, accessible, organized, and aligned to a strong employee experience.
  • Produce reporting, identify trends, and share insights that strengthen content quality, employee engagement, and the overall employee experience.
  • Manage intake, track requests, and coordinate workflows using established prioritization methods.
  • Support employee engagement program, high-visibility campaigns and major Technology initiatives by coordinating materials, logistics, storytelling, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Use AI tools and digital solutions to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks, and support scalable operations.
  • Develop content that supports Technology programs, innovation efforts, and strategic initiatives across internal channels, including spotlights and program communications that recognize staff, highlight team achievements, and elevate awareness of work across the organization.
  • Partner with the AI Hub and other internal stakeholders to extend the reach of important tools, updates, opportunities, and emerging initiatives through coordinated, multi-channel communication.

  • Collaboration, both in-person and virtually, in furtherance of FINRA's mission of investor protection and market integrity.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, communications, or equivalent work experience
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in internal communications, digital content management, employee engagement, or communications operations
  • Competence using full suite of Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint Intranet features
  • Experience organizing content for usability, accessibility and findability
  • Familiarity with content publishing workflows and governance
  • Experience managing intake, workflows, deadlines and multiple concurrent requests
  • Practical experience using Microsoft Co-Pilot or other AI-assisted tools for drafting
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Power Automate or similar workflow platforms
  • Ability to apply AI responsibly to improve efficiency while maintaining quality and judgement
  • Experience gathering and interpreting engagement or channel performance metrics and translating into insights and recommendations
  • Experience creating content for, and communicating with, technical and non-technical employees
  • Familiarity with Hubspot or similar email marketing platforms
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment that changes from day to day
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including copywriting, copyediting and proofreading
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills


Work Conditions:
  • Hybrid work environment, with defined in-person presence requirements.


For work that is performed in CO, FL, TX, IL, PA, MA, MD, VA, Washington, DC, NY and NJ, please refer to the chart below for the salary range for the corresponding location. FINRA complies with all state and local pay transparency laws and regulations requiring the disclosure of salary ranges for the position. In addition to location, actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's skill set, level of experience, education, and market considerations.

CO/FL/TX: Minimum Salary $72,400, Maximum Salary $129,200

IL/PA: Minimum Salary $79,800, Maximum Salary $142,300

MA/MD/VA/Washington, DC: Minimum Salary $83,300, Maximum Salary $148,600

NY/NJ: Minimum Salary $83,300, Maximum Salary $155,100

Time Off and Paid Leave*

FINRA encourages its employees to focus on their health and wellness in many ways, including through a generous time-off program of 15 days of paid time off, 5 personal days and 9 sick days, unless otherwise required by law (all pro-rated in the first year). Additionally, we are proud to support our communities by providing two volunteer service days (based on full-time schedule). Other paid leave includes military leave, jury duty leave, bereavement leave, voting and election official leave for federal, state or local primary and general elections, care of a family member leave (available after 90 days of employment); and childbirth and parental leave (available after 90 days of employment). Full-time employees receive nine paid holidays.
