Full Job Description
Job Overview
The Tax Analyst prepares and maintains tax records, returns, reports and other related materials. The Tax Analyst also analyzes and researches tax law and will assist in developing/implementing tax strategy.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Timely and accurately files moderately complex tax returns and related payments. Prepares federal and state income/franchise tax returns and supporting workpapers. Prepares telecommunication, sales, use surcharge, gross receipts and excise tax returns and related payment requests.
  • Assists in telecommunications, sales, use, surcharge, gross receipts and excise tax audits. Assists with tax assessments, audits and appeals. Participates in recurring and special projects.
  • Participates in audits through preparation of supporting documentation including tax analysis and/or workpapers and review of returns under audit
  • Assists in developing/implementing tax strategy. Exercise judgment within defined procedures/practices to determine action.
  • Prepares documentation to support compliance with SOX 404 controls and procedures.
  • Identities and researches tax issues using tax law research tools and state websites.
  • Analyzes and researches tax law as applied to federal and state income/franchise tax returns filings and/or business transactions.


Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Accounting or related field (Preferred)
  • Less than 2 years Experience in tax. (Preferred)
  • Experience in tax compliance/general accounting. (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $62,500 - $112,700

Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
