Analyst, Investments

Strategic Investment Group - Arlington, VA

What You'll Do
  • Portfolio Management: Analyze and monitor institutional client portfolios, reviewing performance, attribution, and positioning.
  • Investment Research: Participate in due diligence on existing and prospective managers, evaluating strategies across asset classes.
  • Client Engagement: Assist with presentations, respond to client requests, and contribute to portfolio reviews.
  • Market Analysis: Track economic and market developments, support risk management, and evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and engage with external managers, auditors, and custodians.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking graduating seniors who are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Accounting
  • Strong academic credentials (3.5+ GPA preferred).
  • Passion for markets, investing, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.


Bonus Skills:
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, or R.
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Interest in pursuing the CFA designation.

Compensation

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work at this location and reflects the salary range Strategic Investment Group expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. The actual salary offered to a candidate will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications, as well as the specific responsibilities and scope of the role. As a result, individual offers may vary within the posted range. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Arlington, Virginia: $88,000 to $97,000 for Analyst, Investments
