Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and curious Analyst to support the optimization and further integration of our decision engine into our process flows. This role is vital to our mission, directly assisting in the assessment of risk and the streamlining of the offer drafting process. Reporting to the Manager of Portfolio Strategy, you will work closely with the Pricing, Risk, and Engineering teams to implement new workflows and ensure our decisioning capabilities are accurate and efficient. **Key Responsibilities** **Decision Engine Implementation & Testing** - **Configuration Support**: Own the implementation of new process flows, rule changes, and logic updates within the third-party decision engine (e.g., Taktile). - **QA & Testing**: Execute testing for new decisioning parameters and A/B tests to ensure accuracy before full deployment. - **Backtesting**: running historical what-if simulations using historical observations in the decision engine. - **Data Integrity**: Validate data flows between third-party vendors and internal core applications, ensuring stability and accuracy. **Cross Functional Collaboration** - **Requirements Gathering:** Collaborate with business stakeholders (Pricing, Risk, etc.) to document requirements for process improvements. - **Process Documentation:** Help maintain documentation for business processes related to decision logic, A/B testing specifications, etc.. - **Technology Liaison:** Work closely with the technology and engineering teams to ensure that decision engine process flows are compatible with the Company's core apps. **Qualifications** - Experience in an analytical and product support function, preferably in FinTech, lending, or a high-growth financial services environment. - Direct experience working with and optimizing a decision engine (e.g. Taktile, FICO Blaze, Provenir, Lendflow, GDS Link or similar complex rules/scoring engines) is required. - Strong proficiency in **SQL, Python** and **Excel** is required - Familiarity with lending lifecycles (MCA, SMB, or Credit) or logic/rules engines is preferred but not required. - A proven ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and a willingness to learn technical systems. - Coachable, detail-oriented, and ready to engage in a high-growth environment. - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. **Annual Targeted Salary:** $90,000 - $115,000 CAD **Annual Target Bonus:** 10% At Forward Financing, we're committed to fair and transparent compensation.
