The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Medicine, in partnership with Alberta Health Services, invites applications for an academic physician in Pulmonary Hypertension and Interstitial Lung Disease to be based at the University of Alberta Hospital.
Responsibilities
Key accountabilities of the Pulmonary Hypertension and Interstitial Lung Disease will include, but will not be limited to providing specialized ambulatory care within the Pulmonary Hypertension and ILD clinics, as well as general pulmonary clinics; participating in inpatient and consult services at the University of Alberta Hospital; contributing to teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and junior faculty; developing and leading translational and/or clinical research programs in PH and ILD, leveraging existing divisional research and clinical trial infrastructure.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an MD (or equivalent) with certification in Respiratory Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), and demonstrate a proven academic track record in Pulmonary Hypertension and/or Interstitial Lung Disease.
Individuals with a strong interest and track record in translational and/or clinical research in PH and ILD are encouraged to apply.

Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and based on the income scale of the six-step Academic Medicine and Health Services Program (AMHSP).
The successful candidate will be offered a contingent tenured or tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, which is in accordance with Schedule A of the Collective Agreement between the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta.
