WHOLESALE DEMAND PLANNING MANAGERThe primary role of the Wholesale Demand Planning Manager is to develop highly accurate demand plans by customer/style/month for the Wholesale Division. These plans directly signal the inventory team on what to buy to support the business without leading to excess inventory. The Women's Demand Manager will provide detailed analysis that supports this plan to customers within the organization and follow up on any issues in a timely manner. Also, the Demand Manager will handle some responsibilities on the supply side to include writing factory purchase orders and creating monthly factory purchase/capacity plans.
What You'll Do:- Provide updates to include executive summaries, presentations and recommendations that support the direction of the Women's Demand plan.
- Strategically align the demand manager system to sync up with the latest sales and product structures. Develop optimal scopes and sessions that maximize forecast efficiencies and accuracy. Work closely with IT on system improvements and enhancements.
- Collaborate with Sales Management and the field to collect, analyze and adjust forecasts.
- Leader at consensus meeting, including pre-meeting prep, driving discussion at the meeting, and following up after the meeting on all aspects of the Women's demand plan.
- Provide weekly reporting and analysis on the demand plan, including customer, style, RSD, orders to forecast, and customer penetrations by item.
- Creates order deadlines and monitor orders vs. deadlines.
- Ensure demand plan is highly accurate using field input and data to support it.
- Develop plans for safety stock, buffers, or opportunity buys. Creates seasonal curves that optimally flow the safety stock at appropriate weeks of supply.
- Creates factory purchase plans by month and analyzes capacity vs. demand plans.
- Write factory purchase orders to support demand plan with supply.
- Analysing customer orders at the SKU level to ensure proper inventory balance and agreement with the consensus forecast.
- Plan and execute direct ship PO process in collaboration with customer service and supply planning.
What You'll Bring:- BS degree in business or related field preferred.
- 5+ years in an analytical role.
- Experience in planning, buying, or allocations.
- Intermediate or better understanding of MS Excel.
- Prior experience with data mining system.
- Prior experience using a demand manager system.
