Job Description:

The Americas Region Manager provides strategic leadership and execution of the Oil & Gas Power Systems business across the Americas (western hemisphere) through Caterpillar's dealer network. The role is accountable for delivering profitable growth, achieving sales, margin, aftermarket growth, warranty, and customer satisfaction objectives while serving as the primary liaison between Caterpillar, dealers, and end customers. This leader develops and executes regional business strategies, strengthens dealer capabilities, drives commercial performance, and builds strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders to support long-term business growth and market leadership.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and execute regional business strategies that align with enterprise objectives and drive sustainable growth across the Americas region.
  • Serve as the primary strategic liaison between Caterpillar, dealers, and customers, ensuring alignment on business priorities and customer needs.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Dealer Principals, General Managers, key customers, and industry stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and market presence.
  • Drive commercial excellence through business planning, forecasting, pricing strategy, and performance management.
  • Influence dealer investment decisions, growth strategies, and capability development to enhance competitiveness and customer support.
  • Lead teams responsible for prime product sales, aftermarket parts and service sales, warranty administration, dealer development, technical support, and dealer programs.
  • Collaborate with product, service, customer, and segment teams to deliver a seamless customer experience and support long-term business success.
  • Identify market opportunities, assess business risks, and implement strategies to improve performance and expand market share.
  • Resolve complex commercial and operational challenges through effective decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and sound business judgment.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and business results.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, talent development, and performance management.
  • Lead through Caterpillar's leadership expectations by driving results, fostering collaboration, leading change, building trust, and promoting accountability and integrity.


What You Have
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive leadership experience in sales, dealer operations, product support, commercial management, or a related business function.
  • Demonstrated success leading leaders and high-performing teams in complex, customer-focused organizations.
  • Strong business acumen with experience developing and executing growth strategies, managing financial performance, and delivering business results.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, dealer organizations, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience managing sales, aftermarket, warranty, and customer support operations within a large-scale industrial, energy, or equipment-based business.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities, manage business risks, and lead through ambiguity in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated capability in talent development, succession planning, organizational leadership, and change management.
  • Strong customer focus with a track record of improving customer outcomes and building long-term business partnerships.
  • Experience working within a dealer distribution model preferred.
  • Oil & Gas industry knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Global business experience preferred.


Summary Pay Range:

$189,080.00 - $283,630.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
