Physical Requirements
This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; working in confined spaces; and exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and cuts/punctures.

Job Summary
This position will support ambulatory clinics in the management of patients requiring specialty pharmacy medications through a hybrid model that includes both clinic-based and remote work. Strong clinical oversight and patient education are essential to high-functioning specialty pharmacy services. The pharmacist will work directly with patients, providers, and multidisciplinary care teams to support medication selection, education, monitoring, and access to therapy. This integrated approach will improve clinic workflow, increase patient satisfaction, reduce fragmented care, and support continuity of care within UK HealthCare. The position will provide high-touch patient care while helping patients obtain timely and affordable access to specialty medications.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strong clinical skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; a "team" mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position.
