ALUMNI TRAVEL PROGRAM MANAGER, Alumni Association CEO , strengthens alumni engagement and generates sustainable revenue for the Institute; manages approximately 20 curated trips annually, combining faculty expertise, distinctive educational content, and carefully designed MIT experiences that reinforce alumni connection to the Institute; balances alumni relations, financial sustainability, operational excellence, educational impact, and risk management as core priorities; and identifies opportunities to expand participation, reach, and revenue.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED : Bachelor's degree; a minimum of four years of professional experience in program or operations management in a service-oriented field, preferably in the travel industry, hospitality, or event management; knowledge of international travel logistics and regulations; success managing programs or operations for a service-oriented organization; sound judgement, discretion, and problem-solving skills; ability to remain calm and effective while managing complex, sensitive, and time-sensitive situations; strong financial acumen; comfort with budget management and financial forecasting; excellent project management skills; attention to detail; superior written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders; and proficiency with technology platforms, including CRM systems (Salesforce), data analysis tools, Microsoft Office, and web-based applications. PREFERRED : Experience with survey/analytics platforms, such as Qualtrics; experience with budget management software and database; familiarity with educational programming and adult learning principles; experience in high education, nonprofit sector, or alumni relations.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally occasionally.
This is a hybrid position with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
