The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Alteryx Administrator to support enterprise analytics, automation, and data integration across a sophisticated business and technology environment. In this role, you will ensure the Alteryx platform—spanning Alteryx Server, Designer, and integrated data pipelines—operates securely, efficiently, and at scale. You will partner with analysts, data engineers, cybersecurity, infrastructure teams, and application owners to deliver a stable, compliant, and high-performing platform that empowers data-driven decision-making and automation across the organization.
Responsibilities:
As an Alteryx Administrator, you will:
- Administer and maintain the Alteryx Server platform, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and environment operations.
- Manage user provisioning, authentication, permissions, and access controls aligned with enterprise security policies.
- Configure and support workflow scheduling, job execution, worker nodes, queues, galleries/collections, and other operational components.
- Monitor Alteryx system performance, availability, logs, utilization, and job failures; diagnose issues and coordinate resolution.
- Integrate and support connectivity with enterprise data sources including:
• AWS RDS
• SAP S/4HANA
• Oracle
• SharePoint
• APIs
• Cloud and file-based data sources - Maintain connectors, service accounts, credentials, and access mechanisms to ensure secure and reliable integration.
- Develop and enforce governance standards for workflow promotion, naming conventions, documentation, credential handling, version control, and production support.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with security, audit, backup, recovery, and continuity requirements.
- Support migration of workflows between development, test, and production environments.
- Create and maintain operational procedures, support guides, runbooks, and technical documentation.
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for Alteryx-related incidents, service requests, and root‑cause analysis.
- Manage license administration and usage tracking for Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, and related components.
- Partner with analysts and developers to troubleshoot workflow performance, data issues, and server execution problems.
- Recommend enhancements to improve platform scalability, reliability, automation efficiency, and operational insight.
- Participate in release planning, testing cycles, and change management processes.
- Support audit and reporting requirements associated with automated workflows and analytics products.
- Provide user support and training for publishing, scheduling, workflow optimization, and operational best practices.
- Contribute to Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and platform improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to meet DoD 8140 requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in application administration, analytics platform support, or business intelligence systems administration.
- Hands-on experience administering Alteryx Server and supporting Alteryx Designer users in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of:
• Server configuration and maintenance
• User/security administration
• Workflow scheduling, monitoring, and execution
• Troubleshooting job failures, performance issues, and platform incidents - Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience integrating enterprise data sources and ETL/data preparation processes.
- Familiarity with authentication and identity solutions such as Okta, Active Directory, and SSO.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Desired:
- Experience in a DoD, federal, or highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with SAP data extraction, transformation, or operational integration.
- Background supporting analytics in financial, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or ERP domains.
- Experience working in cloud-hosted or hybrid analytics environments.
- Experience with enterprise ticketing and monitoring tools (ServiceNow, Splunk, etc.).
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies such as SAFe.
- Alteryx certification (Designer/Server) preferred.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200-$158,100
