Job Details

ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Allied Health Instructor to organize, administer, and provide continuous review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of clinical experiences for Diagnostic Medical Sonography students.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains clinical affiliation agreements with a variety of clinical sites in order to provide clinical opportunities for students to practice the skills, knowledge, and behaviors necessary to provide age appropriate care, to a culturally diverse patient population, consistent with accreditation standards.
  • Develops clinical course outlines, objectives and clinical evaluation tools that are consistent with accreditation requirements and college policy
  • Coordinates clinical rotations for students in order to meet clinical requirements and accreditation guidelines
  • Assesses clinical site efficiency utilizing feedback from clinical faculty, preceptors and students
  • Provides didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction
  • Provides feedback to students during all phases of their clinical education
  • Serves as program liaison and mentor for each clinical site and for site preceptors and staff
  • Maintains student records that are consistent with accreditation requirements and college policy
  • Performs other related duties as required.

DIRECTION / SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:

  • Direct supervision of students in classroom, lab and/or clinical settings


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Holds, at a minimum, a Baccalaureate degree
  • Meets experience and credentialing requirements designated by accreditation agency
  • Holds professional certification or equivalent in the pertinent discipline
  • Certifications needed:
    • RDMS
    • Abdomen and Ob/Gyn certifications
    • RVT

Schedule:

  • Day Shift (M-F)
  • Location: Avenue North

Hourly Pay Range: $38.22 - $61.16

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
