Full Job Description
• Advises Manager of schedule requirement and production issues as they pertain to squadron aircraft. • Release aircraft for flight (safe for flight or exceptional release) • Manages general services, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure that aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight. • Creates and assigns work-orders in the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and accomplishes aircraft safety of flight releases as required. • Candidate may supervise multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment that consists of Military and Lockheed Martin employees. • Ensure workforce follows appropriate technical instructions, 8210D, and local operating instructions. • Advises management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Ensures good housekeeping and safety practices are enforced. • Considered candidates must be capable of working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s) dependent on customer needs. • Candidates should expect to depart on temporary duty assignments with short notice, dependent on customer or LM ICS needs to include stateside or overseas. This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. • Security Clearance Required. Must have at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance AND must be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Security clearance. • Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility might that requires special access. Apply today aeroebbing Basic Qualifications • 6 years minimum aircraft maintenance experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and flight line operations. • Overall fighter experience must include at least 1 year F-35 • Leadership experience in an aircraft maintenance environment. • Experience with such programs as Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information System, Tool and FOD, Time Accounting, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management or Supply Chain Management. Desired skills • F-35 or Fifth generation aircraft maintenance experience • Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) or Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) experience • Understanding of Military Maintenance Practices. • Strong verbal and written communications skills for coordinating with Field Service Representatives, and Maintenance Managers on schedules, aircraft status and issues as they occur. • Effective communication skills for coordination at all levels throughout the USAF Wing structure to include Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics Support Managers • Ability to lead diverse workforce • Proficient in the use Microsoft Office products • Ability to develop and present formal briefings and presentations. • Ability to develop necessary maintenance plans and procedures. • Knowledge and understanding of 8210D • Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks. • Experience providing On-the-Job Training to other The application window will close in 90 days; applicants are encouraged to apply within 5 - 30 days of the requisition posting date in order to receive optimal consideration. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. Premium Pay Statement Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $89,300 - $154,905.
