Full Job Description
Are you ready to use your leadership skills in aviation regulations and aircraft maintenance in a managerial position? Join our team! As an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance tasks, ensuring that all activities are performed in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. You will assist the Aircraft Maintenance Manager in coordinating schedules and managing the maintenance team. This role requires strong leadership abilities to train and develop maintenance staff, monitor the use of tools and materials, and ensure a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
  • Conduct inspections of maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Monitor and ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Address maintenance issues and collaborate with other departments to resolve technical problems.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of aviation experience.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Familiarity with aviation safety standards, FAA regulations, policies, and procedures and safe operating practices.
  • Basic understanding of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Previous supervisory experience in an aircraft maintenance setting.
  • Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.


Essential Functions:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Perform physical inspections of aircraft components.
  • Work in loud environments with exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Occasionally travel for inspections and training.
  • Adapt to flexible working hours, including night and weekend shifts.
