Job DescriptionYou will be the Air Vehicle Health Management / IVHM Systems Engineer - Level 3 for the Diagnostics, Prognostics, and Health Management (DPHM) Team which is responsible for delivering advanced health-management capabilities to modern military aircraft.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Air Vehicle Health Management / IVHM Systems Engineer - Level 3 you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining diagnostic and prognostic solutions that detect and isolate root-cause failures across air vehicle systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Define and architect diagnostic and prognostic capabilities for air vehicle systems and subsystems.
- Conduct model-based systems engineering, testability, and built-in-test (BIT) analyses.
- Perform FMECA and develop fault-detection and failure-isolation requirements.
- Evaluate operational DPHM performance and drive capability-maturation initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional coordination, schedule management, and status reporting with technical leads and stakeholders.

Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree
• Experience in systems engineering
• Experience with performance data analytics and/or root cause analysis (i.e. metrics requirement definition, performance data analysis and/or reporting activities)
• Experience working with cross-functional groups, including internal stakeholders, suppliers, vendors, and/or customer stakeholders
Desired skillsPrefer advanced degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Agile practices and Methodologies
• Proactive engagement with team members to resolve technical issues.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering languages (including SysML)
• Experience with diagnostic modeling in any of the following tool sets; DSI eXpress, Siemens Xcelerator/MADe, Dassault System 3DX.
• Good problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (i.e. the ability to communicate complex analysis with clarity and precision)
• Demonstrated experience and integration of Aviation Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, or Air Vehicle software.
• Experience developing failure mode effects analysis and built-in-test (BIT) design.
• Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, or Prognostics & Health Management capability development in commercial or military aviation.
• Familiarity with standard applied machine learning and data mining techniques.
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
