Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, AIOps & Agentic Operations Advisory to help large enterprises move from reactive, human-run operations to intelligent, automation-first delivery. This role is built for practitioners who have actually run enterprise IT operations at scale — and who now bring that hard-won experience to bear in designing the AIOps and agentic operating models that will replace much of what they once managed manually. The value this person brings is not theoretical: they know what breaks, what matters at 2am, and where automation genuinely changes outcomes versus where it creates new risk. They translate that grounded perspective into a compelling vision for CIO audiences and into delivery plans that cross-functional teams can execute. The Work: - Design AIOps and agentic operations architectures grounded in real enterprise run experience — identifying where autonomous operations genuinely reduce risk and cost, and where human judgment must be preserved - Frame the vision for CIO audiences — translating complex operational transformation into a clear business case, articulating the path from current-state operations to an automation-first, agentic target state - Build the delivery plans — defining phased roadmaps, workstream structures, tooling selections, and operating model transitions that delivery teams can own and execute without the advisory lead needing to run each workstream - Assess and sequence the automation opportunity — applying operations experience to distinguish genuine quick wins from automation that looks good in a slide but fails in production, and prioritising accordingly - Lead the operating model transition — redesigning roles, processes, and governance for a world where agents handle event triage, remediation, and change execution, and human operators focus on exception handling, oversight, and continuous improvement - Shape and support business development — leading client workshops, originating opportunities through peer-to-peer CIO engagement, and contributing to proposals where operations credibility is the differentiator - Provide thought leadership on the frontiers of intelligent operations — including multi-agent orchestration, AI-driven change risk assessment, autonomous remediation guardrails, and the governance frameworks needed to operate at machine speed Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 25% to 100% depending on business need and client requirements. - Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, infrastructure engineering, or technology consulting — with a meaningful portion spent actually running enterprise operations at scale, not only advising on them - Minimum 8+ years in a leadership role with accountability for operational performance, service delivery, or infrastructure reliability in a complex enterprise environment - Minimum 3+ years experience designing and delivering AIOps, automation, or intelligent operations programs — with evidence of measurable operational outcomes (MTTR reduction, automation coverage, alert noise reduction, toil elimination) - Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience) Bonus Points If: - Prior experience in a senior enterprise operations role (Head of IT Operations, VP Infrastructure, NOC Director, or equivalent) before moving into consulting or advisory — the practitioner-to-advisor career path is a strong signal for this position - Hands-on experience deploying or operating AIOps tooling in production (Dynatrace, Moogsoft, BigPanda, PagerDuty, Datadog, or equivalent) — not only designing or evaluating it - Experience in regulated industries (financial services, energy, life sciences, public sector) where autonomous operations require additional governance, audit trails, and human oversight controls - Industry certifications in cloud operations, SRE, or AIOps platforms; familiarity with ITIL 4 and how its practices adapt in an automation-first operating model Skills: - AIOps & Intelligent Ops Design: Hybrid/multi-cloud AIOps platform design (noise reduction, anomaly detection), agentic operations (autonomous triage, self-healing runbooks), and unified telemetry observability (Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, OpenTelemetry). - Enterprise Operations Credibility: Hands-on background leading NOC/SOC and major incident command, navigating operational realities (alert fatigue, change freezes), and driving SRE/reliability practices (SLO/SLI frameworks, error budgets). - Automation-First Delivery: End-to-end automation programme design (ROI modeling, toolchain selection), actionable workstream architecture, and organizational change/adoption management for human oversight of AI workflows. - Executive Advisory & Thought Leadership: CIO-level strategic vision and business case development, alongside grounded points of view on agentic AI readiness and phased adoption roadmap sequencing. Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below. We anticipate this job posting will be posted until 09/29/2026. Accenture offers a market competitive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, bonus opportunities, paid holidays, and paid time off.
