Who we are looking for

The Senior AI Platform Product Expert will play a key role in delivering AI-enabled capabilities across the Charles River Investment Management Solution and Alpha Data Platform. This role is part of the AI Center of Excellence at Charles River, which is responsible for translating strategic AI initiatives into executable product features and workflows that can easily be adopted by Charles River's sophisticated user community.

You will partner closely with Charles River's engineering, architecture and product teams to design, build, and deploy AI-powered functionality-such as copilots, automation tools, and decision-support capabilities-embedded within investment management workflows. Your focus will be on execution, iteration, and adoption, ensuring that AI solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to user needs.

To be successful, the AI Platform Product Expert will serve as a hands-on product leader responsible for operationalizing AI as part of the Charles River suite of product offerings. The role combines strategic foresight with execution rigor, requiring close collaboration with engineering, and business teams to translate emerging AI capabilities into tangible, production-ready features. This individual will drive the lifecycle of AI initiatives, including use case discovery, model integration, workflow design, governance alignment, and performance measurement, ensuring that AI capabilities deliver consistent, measurable impact across both internal operations and client-facing solutions.

What you will be responsible for

Based in the greater Boston area, the role involves working closely with internal Charles River and Alpha teams (R&D, client management, professional services, sales) and external stakeholders (clients and prospects) to ensure that platform functionality is augmented insofar as possible with agentic AI/ML capabilities - both as part of embedded components and via integration techniques (API, MCP, CLI).
  • Execute against the AI product roadmap defined by the AI Enablement Product Owner
  • Break down high-level AI initiatives into deliverable features, user stories, and sprint priorities
  • Identify and refine AI use cases (automation, copilots, analytics) aligned to product and client needs
  • Partner with engineering and data science teams to deliver AI/ML-enabled functionality
  • Support integration of LLMs, ML models, and APIs into product workflows
  • Contribute to end-to-end delivery-from design through deployment and adoption
  • Collaborate with UX/design teams to ensure intuitive and effective user experiences
  • Monitor product performance and adoption, using data to iterate and improve solutions
  • Ensure alignment with AI governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
  • Act as a key liaison across product, engineering, and business stakeholders

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:
  • Experience working in fintech, SaaS, or data-driven platforms
  • Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, and modern application architectures
  • Exposure to AI/ML products, copilots, or workflow automation tools
  • Experience building or scaling AI copilots or workflow automation tools
  • Experience with MCP server frameworks and linking of agents
  • Excellent organisation skills; ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and meet self-imposed deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills across technical and business teams
  • Ability to execute in agile environments with multiple concurrent priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communicator with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Consultative presentation style to diverse and complex audiences

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3+ years in product management, product delivery, or related roles
  • Experience contributing to software or data platform initiatives
  • Exposure to AI technologies (LLMs, ML models, automation frameworks) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
