Job DescriptionThis AI-Focused Test Lead will help advance quality, efficiency, and delivery confidence across Home Lending Delivery platforms. This role will lead testing strategy and execution for AI-enabled, automation-supported, and traditional technology initiatives while ensuring testing practices remain traceable, auditable, risk-based, and aligned to enterprise standards. The AI-Focused Test Lead is accountable for planning, coordinating, and governing testing activities across AI-enabled solutions, automation initiatives, platform enhancements, integrations, and data-driven delivery efforts. This individual will serve as the tactical quality leader for assigned initiatives, ensuring test planning begins early, acceptance criteria are testable, risk is clearly understood, defects are managed effectively, and business stakeholders have confidence in release readiness. The role blends traditional test leadership with emerging AI quality practices, partnering effectively with technology, automation, data, product, business, risk, and vendor teams to validate both system behavior and AI-supported outputs. This role will also coordinate day-to-day testing activities across onshore, offshore, vendor, and cross-functional delivery teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of direct experience with project management responsibilities
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting and making verbal and written presentations
- Strong software testing leadership, hands-on understanding of test automation and data validation, curiosity and experience with AI-enabled functionality testing, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through evolving delivery models.
- Experience with mortgage, home lending, consumer lending, financial services, or other highly regulated business domains.
- Working knowledge of test automation concepts, automation candidate selection, and preparation of manual tests for automation readiness.
- Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, API testing, SQL/data validation, CI/CD quality gates, or similar automation and quality engineering tools.
- Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues, and report on test results
- Strong knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle, Agile delivery practices, test planning, test case design, defect management, regression testing, and UAT coordination.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
- Strong project management, organization, and analytical skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Effective leadership and negotiation skills
- In-depth knowledge of a business line or function area
Location expectations: This role requires working from the Earth City, MO locations three (3) or more days a week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00
