What You Will Do:
The Agile Project Manager (APM) delivers business outcomes by combining facilitative Agile leadership with project management discipline. The APM orchestrates planning and execution across cross-functional teams, ensures value delivery and transparency, manages risks and dependencies, and elevates team performance through coaching and continuous improvement. They balance iterative, adaptive delivery with right-sized scope, predictable cadence, and effective stakeholder communication and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate release activities to include documentation, release call facilitation, approval tracking, dependency management, etc.
  • Own application-specific roadmaps; review with Product Owners and stakeholders at least once per program increment (PI) planning period.
  • Create delivery plans that right-size scope to the cadence (target: 90%+ of Epics fit within 1-2 sprints).
  • Ensure backlog hygiene; track target dates for Epics/Initiatives; partner with POs to refine and prioritize work.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and run SAFe Value-Stream Mapping and Problem-Solving workshops.
  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and impediments; maintain visible risk/issue logs.
  • Strengthen technical acumen; include technical leads in Scrum of Scrums; attend architecture forums.
  • Improve release readiness: test coverage awareness, defect trends, rollout discipline.
  • Maintain clear status reporting; tailor messaging for audience; balance transparency with discretion.
  • Promote collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.


Performance Metric Tracking/Reporting
  • Delivery of committed scope within agreed timelines.
  • Team velocity and predictability improvements.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and engagement scores.
  • Risk mitigation effectiveness and issue resolution time.
  • Adoption of continuous improvement initiatives.


What You Will Need:

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field (FOUR (4) additional years of equivalent experience).
  • Agile certifications (CSM or A-CSM, or SAFe)
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification desirable.
  • FIVE (5+) years Agile delivery experience; TWO (2+) years in project management discipline.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Agile and PM tools (Jira, Rally, Confluence).


Agile Experience
  • Facilitate Scrum/Kanban ceremonies and backlog refinement.
  • Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile mindset and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Support PI planning, Scrum of Scrums, and scaled Agile practices.
  • Promote iterative delivery and incremental value realization.


Project Management Experience
  • Demonstrate application of project management best practices for scope and schedule.
  • Develop team charters, status reports, and risk logs.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication plans.
  • Coordinate across multiple teams and vendors for timely delivery.
  • Utilize PM tools for tracking and reporting (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
