Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:
Manages a team of scrum masters and RTEs (Release Train Engineers) for the Data & Analytics organization including FTEs as well as contractors to supplement capacity. Leads and mentors' direct reports, who typically work directly on the tasks/activities under a day to day and project/program level work. Mentors all the staff on business acumen, professional growth, business growth and corporate strategies. Works closely with customer(s) and team to ensure open and regular communication, both written and oral. Responsible for providing leadership and oversight of PI planning, ART synch execution and ensure appropriate execution across all agile ceremonies and tight collaboration within the strategic initiatives or mandates. Assesses and prepares proposals for any changes to continue to improve upon execution across D&A work efforts. Provides input into the day to day and SI (strategic initiative) budget for the agile delivery needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversees the initiating, planning and execution of program/project activities related to scaled agile delivery.
  • Lead/oversight of multiple cross functional teams, or Agile Release train (ART) guiding the team on how to use Agile, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum and Lean(e.g. Kanban).
  • Creates and nurtures a culture of continuous learning, growth mindset and agile maturity
  • Drives metrics, SAFe guidelines, partners with leadership.
  • Manages customer interactions and expectations across IT and business stakeholders.
  • Attends to staffing needs, such as interviewing, rewards & recognition, mentoring, and conflict resolution and acts as a mentor to all team members.
  • Manages the evaluation of implications/risks on existing or proposed new projects and implements improvements to mature execution
  • Provides leadership for the overall quality of all deliverables across the RTEs/Scrum Masters
    • RTE - Planning & Execution for overall D&A and Interoperability
    • Scrum Master leading PODs across D&A for planning, execution

This position manages people.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSP)
  • Certified SAFe Program Consultant
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI Preferred

Experience:
  • 5 years experience as a scrum master, project manager or other team lead and budget management role.
  • 1 year supervisory experience or demonstrated progressive leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to train and mentor others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in JIRA Align and JIRA
  • Proficient in project planning and life cycle development.
  • Expert knowledge of lean/agile theory, different methodologies like SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP, DevOps; practices, ceremonies, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of Lean, Agile principles and practices.
  • Manages the tailoring of Company project processes to ensure adherence to customer policy and processes.
  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.


Salary Range: $120,240 - $223,196

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The associate is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position. Occasional walking or standing is required. The hands are regularly used to write, type, key and handle or feel small controls and objects. The associate must frequently talk and hear. Weights up to 25 pounds are occasionally lifted.
