Position Description: We are seeking highly skilled Agentic AI Engineers to design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI agents.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and AI-driven workflow automation using platforms such as Azure AI Foundry or AWS Bedrock.
Location: New Brunswick, NJ (Hybrid) - Flexibility on relocation if needed
Your future duties and responsibilities: Design and develop autonomous AI agents focused on automation
Build and configure AI workflows using Azure AI Foundry and/or AWS Bedrock
Implement advanced prompt engineering, tool-calling mechanisms, and agent orchestration strategies
Develop multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or MCP Server
Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for context-aware AI applications
Develop scalable backend services and APIs to support AI agent operations and integrations
Work on data engineering tasks using Python, SQL, Pandas, Hadoop, and Hive
Integrate AI agents with enterprise data sources, APIs, and business workflows
Monitor and optimize agent performance, reliability, observability, and response quality
Ensure responsible AI practices including governance, security, compliance, and risk management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, software developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven automation solutions
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Preference is 1-4 years of experience
Strong experience in Python, SQL, and Pandas
Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry and/or AWS Bedrock
Experience in prompt engineering and LLM-based application development
Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks such as: LangChain LangGraph Semantic KernelMCP Server
Experience developing RAG-based AI solutions and vector search implementations
Knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or ChromaDB
Experience with backend API frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
Exposure to Hadoop ecosystem technologies including Hive
Understanding of responsible AI, governance, observability, and enterprise AI security practices

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $172,400.00.
