Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Modeling and Simulation-focused Aerospace Engineer to support mission-dynamics modeling, simulation environment development, and test/demonstration activities. This engineer will collaborate closely with autonomy, software, and systems teams to ensure mission behaviors, test data, and simulation environments accurately reflect space domain operations and constraints.
This position is contingent upon award, anticipated start on 09/01/2026. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine aerospace mission-dynamics and space-domain simulation models to support autonomy prototyping and software integration.
- Generate representative test data, simulation datasets, and scenario configurations for component-level and system-level testing.
- Support execution of scripted demonstrations, rehearsals, and integration tests, including deficiency tracking and re-test support.
- Collaborate with autonomy and software engineers to validate interfaces, workflows, and mission behaviors using representative dynamics.
- Contribute aerospace-focused artifacts to documentation, training materials, and technical handoff packages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in modeling & simulation, mission dynamics, or test engineering.
- Experience developing and validating aerospace or space-domain models (orbital, attitude, sensor geometry, mission constraints).
- Hands-on experience with simulation environments (e.g., Basilisk), test data generation, or demo-support workflows.
- Ability to collaborate with autonomy and software engineering teams in integrated Agile workflows.
- U.S. Citizenship; TS/SCI Clearance
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting demonstration events, scripted test execution, or integrated test environments.
- Familiarity with autonomy evaluation, mission-thread analysis, or related GN&C concepts (even if not a GN&C specialist).
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $155,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
