Overview

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, is a trusted partner enabling critical missions across the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) complex for more than 30 years. We contribute to DOE’s nuclear security and environmental remediation enterprise by providing the highest-caliber staff and experts. We are seeking a motivated Advisory Engineer - Project Engineer to contribute to our mission supporting our work atSavannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide staff augmentation support to SRNS.
  • Integrate and manage engineering activities for assigned projects by assisting in establishing design criteria, resource forecasts, schedules, and priorities.
  • Provide project management tools and methods to assigned projects and support development of future projects.
  • Manage project tasks and deliver results for cost and schedule of those tasks.
  • Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmaticguidance will be provided by SRNS
Education and Licensure

BS Degree in Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Providing overall engineering and design direction, leadership, and management for assigned projects and tasks.
  • Integrating engineering resources for assigned projects by assisting in establishing design criteria, resource forecasts, schedules, and engineering tools for engineering tasks
  • Providing administrative guidance to leads and managers.
  • Responsibilities for overall management, scheduling, and priority of the tasks and projects assigned.
  • 21+ years of experience required. Additional education can be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & LOCATION DETAILS:

  • Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
  • Registered PE licensure in any state.
  • 6:45am-5:15pm EST Mon-Thurs
  • One year base period with two additional one year option periods.
  • 100% onsite Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense.
  • Project(s) supported: Central Engineering (H area, F area, SRPPF)
