We are seeking a motivated Advisory Engineer - Project Engineer to contribute to our mission supporting our work atSavannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide staff augmentation support to SRNS.
- Integrate and manage engineering activities for assigned projects by assisting in establishing design criteria, resource forecasts, schedules, and priorities.
- Provide project management tools and methods to assigned projects and support development of future projects.
- Manage project tasks and deliver results for cost and schedule of those tasks.
- Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmaticguidance will be provided by SRNS
Education and Licensure
BS Degree in Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Providing overall engineering and design direction, leadership, and management for assigned projects and tasks.
- Integrating engineering resources for assigned projects by assisting in establishing design criteria, resource forecasts, schedules, and engineering tools for engineering tasks
- Providing administrative guidance to leads and managers.
- Responsibilities for overall management, scheduling, and priority of the tasks and projects assigned.
- 21+ years of experience required. Additional education can be considered in lieu of experience.
- Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & LOCATION DETAILS:
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
- Registered PE licensure in any state.
- 6:45am-5:15pm EST Mon-Thurs
- One year base period with two additional one year option periods.
- 100% onsite Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense.
