Your Impact

Reporting to the Team Lead, the Advisor, Health & Safety plays a key role in strengthening and promoting a proactive safety culture across site operations. You will identify hazards, support risk reduction initiatives, coach leaders and employees on safe work practices, and help ensure everyone goes home safely every day.
As Part of the Team
  • Provide hands-on safety coaching, training, and guidance to employees and leaders.
  • Conduct field inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Support and lead safety programs focused on injury prevention and wellbeing.
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning.
  • Partner with site leaders to embed safety into daily operations.
  • Support safety management systems, assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prerequisites
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of Health & Safety experience in an underground mining environment.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, investigations, and safety audits.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CSO/NCSO certification and LMS experience are considered assets.
Work Environment
  • Fly-in/fly-out site-based position at Brucejack Mine.
  • Rotation of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • Remote industrial mining environment.
  • Must be able to meet site access requirements, including pre-employment testing and PPE compliance.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $85,400.00 + $113,900.00 + 15% STIP. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
