Advisor - Clinical Informaticist IV

The Advisor - Clinical Informaticist IV serves as a key liaison between clinicians, IT teams, and administrative leaders, ensuring technology effectively supports clinical practice by optimizing workflows, enhancing EHR functionality, and translating complex data into actionable insights that improve care, safety, and efficiency. Designs and implements intuitive digital solutions, trains staff, and leads strategic, data-driven initiatives that strengthen decision-making and outcomes. Demonstrates resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments, communicates change effectively, and fosters collaboration across different customers. Leverages a deep understanding of enterprise operations to drive innovation, influence performance, mentor others, and support continuous improvement while guiding strategic decisions and advancing organizational growth. Actively leads mentoring opportunities among new and/or fellow team members and/or other teams. The Advisor - Clinical Informaticist IV Serves as an informal leader for team members.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

• Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is strongly preferred (MSHI, MSN, MPH, MBA).
• Requires 7 plus years of Clinical Informatics or Health Information Technology experience; ideally a superuser.
• Requires 3-5 years of clinical experience.
• Requires an Informatics certification (ANCC, HIMSS-CPHIMS, CAHIMS).
• Requires current/active state of Indiana license as a Health Care Professional (e.g. Provider, Registered Nurse, Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), Dietician, Social Worker, Respiratory Therapist, or other).
• Must obtain an Epic appropriate accreditation within 6 months of hire.
• Requires travel across the IU Health system for projects, onsite meetings, or as requested.
