Role Overview:Pearson, the world's leading learning company, is seeking an Advanced Specialist, AI Scientist to join their Office of Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) within the AgentOps team. This pivotal role is focused on driving the future of AI Transformation, inspiring innovation, and empowering learning through advanced AI/ML applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Hands-on training or fine-tuning of language models, including Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Applying deep learning frameworks on GPU infrastructure to develop and enhance AI solutions.
- Implementing rigorous evaluation disciplines to demonstrate and validate model improvements.
- Working independently on complex AI/ML tasks while contributing meaningfully to team projects.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate AI solutions.
Required Skills:- Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience in training or fine-tuning language models, ideally LLMs.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with a deep learning framework.
- Familiarity with GPU infrastructure for model development.
- A strong evaluation discipline to objectively measure and show model improvements.
- Proficiency in one, and ideally a few, AI/ML areas.
- Experience with public cloud platforms and their AI-related services.
- Understanding of AI/ML applications, particularly within educational content contexts.
- Good communication skills and comfort working with diverse teams.
Qualifications:- 8-10 years of experience in relevant AI/ML roles.
- Advanced Specialist level expertise.
Preferred Skills:- Proficiency in multiple AI/ML areas.
