Job Purpose

Advanced Purchasing Specialist who will have responsibilities within the Product Platforms for Global Crop Protection, Crop Production, and Soil Management. This position will integrate the supply chain strategy and end-to-end execution across the full product lifecycle of current product improvements and resourcing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive purchasing activities of current and new programs and improvements, leading them to successful implementation:
    • Including quality improvement, technical modification, cost reductions, and product improvement.
    • Accountable for tracking sourcing requirements and budgets for current production priorities, meets all Platform targets, for quality, timing, cost of Purchased components, and supplier CAPEX targets.
    • Leads collaboration between platform, engineering, manufacturing and commodity teams to select suppliers, execute contracts, and order parts.
    • Supports the prototype and sample ordering process for testing and resourcing.
    • Support quality approvals and service parts availability for new parts launches.
  • Coordinates sourcing to support the larger strategic sourcing goals between supply chain and platform teams.
  • Ensures early supplier engagement at initiation of product changes, improvements, and resourcing to ensure supplier expertise and knowledge is leveraged in the chosen designs, achieving best possible solutions and costs.
  • Supports insource/outsource projects by coordinating supply chain activity.


Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management and preferred 3+ years of experience in purchasing, project management or similar experience preferably in the production or procurement of components and subsystems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestic and international.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management, negotiation skills, data analysis, understand the basics of engineering prints, specifications and basic manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams, conflict management, clear & concise written and verbal communication.


Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is $63,750 - $114,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
