8pm-8am Shift

Position Summary
Our Hospitalist Nurse Practitioners (APRN) play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients during the night shift. Working closely with a dedicated physician partner and nursing teams, the APRN will manage patients across mixed-acuity and transitional care units, providing comprehensive, hands-on care for patients with conditions requiring supervised medical treatment.

This role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment where your clinical expertise is valued and your contributions directly impact patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physician providers to deliver exceptional overnight care for hospitalized adult patients
  • Help manage a dynamic caseload of Internal Medicine patients
  • Perform thorough physical examinations and ongoing patient assessments
  • Collect, interpret, and document clinical data to guide treatment decisions
  • Order and coordinate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, medications, and specialty consultations
  • Order and manage medications
  • Provide direct, patient-centered care with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuity

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required:
  1. MSN required
  2. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner from an approved nurse practitioner program
  3. Eligible at all times to be insured for professional liability
  4. Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state
  5. Current unrestricted license to practice as an APRN in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
  6. BLS Certification
  7. Minimum 3 years of relevant Advanced Practice Nursing experience (required)
