Overview

OSF HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Nurse to join our well-established, growing, high-volume Urology practice. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment alongside an existing team of 3 APPs and 2 Physicians, providing high-quality care for patients with a broad range of general urologic conditions.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Primarily outpatient adult urology care with a mix of inpatient responsibilities.
  • Exposure to a broad range of general urology cases.
  • Work alongside experienced physicians, APPs, and support staff.
  • Shared call rotation: 1 in 6 weekends and holiday coverage as part of the schedule.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented environment that ensures balanced workload.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with urologic conditions.
  • Conduct patient assessments, perform procedures as appropriate, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotation.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while contributing to a team-based approach.

  • Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $55.20-$63.65. This is a salaried position.
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.
  • Providers with previous Urology experience are eligible for a $10,000 Sign On Bonus with a 2-year commitment.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Masters Degree
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act")
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.
  • Acute Care Certification.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Urology experience is not required but it is preferred.
    • Providers with previous Urology experience are eligible for a $10,000 Sign On Bonus with a 2-year commitment.
  • Experience in the OR, ER, or ICU as an RN or APN is preferred.
  • BLS/ALS Certified
  • Experience is preferred; however, new graduates will be considered.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
