BJC HealthCare, where Advanced Practice Providers deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This is a unique opportunity to work with a
dedicated hematology team, developing long-term relationships with patients while practicing at the top of your license. The Pediatric Hematology APP will provide
outpatient-focused care, managing return visits, supporting infusion center work-flows, performing procedures, and coordinating care across a multidisciplinary team.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Typically 5 x 8's day shifts (flexibility for 4 x 10's)
- No overnight call, weekend / holiday rotation
- Perform procedures including lumbar punctures and bone marrow biopsies, support infusion center workflows - including order management and coordination with nursing
- Dedicated time for charting, care coordination, triage and follow-up
- Strongly Preferred: Pediatric, hematology/oncology or procedural experience
- Preferred: Interest in longitudinal patient care and procedural skills development

Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeUtilizes a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in a specialized area of nursing to diagnose, proscribe, and treat pediatric and neonatal patients within the scope of a formal collaborative practice agreement with physician(s) to support a designated clinical service.
ResponsibilitiesParticipates in professional developmentDevelops treatment plans, treats patients with acute problems including illnesses and minor injuries following a predetermined protocol in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.Coordinates the care of select patient populations to ensure promotion of health and wellness through education of patients and families, coordination of services and placing referrals.Assumes a leadership role within a specific clinical specialty.Manages the health care of select patient populations through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.Minimum RequirementsEducationMaster's Degree - Nursing(Accredited NP Program)
