Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) - Radiology Procedures

MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center | Waterloo, Iowa

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking aNurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Radiology team in Waterloo, Iowa. This is a unique opportunity for an APP interested in developing advanced procedural skills while working alongside an experienced team of radiologists and interventional radiology specialists.

This position will focus primarily on procedural care, helping improve patient access, turnaround times, and overall efficiency within our Radiology Department. New graduates with strong procedural aptitude are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview

The APP will work collaboratively with the Radiology team to perform a variety of diagnostic and image-guided procedures under established departmental protocols and privileges.

This role is heavily procedural with limited clinical consults and rounding responsibilities.

Following successful completion of training and competency requirements, the APP will perform approved procedures independently within granted privileges.

  • Participate in limited consultative and rounding activities as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous experience in:
    • Radiology
    • Interventional Radiology
    • Critical Care
    • Emergency Medicine
    • Surgery
  • Experience performing bedside or image-guided procedures
