Responsibilities

  • Exercise clinical autonomy with physician support for high-risk patients
  • Care for extremely low gestational age newborns (ELGAN) and critically ill neonates
  • Utilize state-of-the-art neonatal technology, including advanced ventilators
  • Access multidisciplinary specialty support for enhanced patient care

Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

What You'll Champion:
  • Join our Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) team at York Hospital, supporting a high-acuity, 44-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Central Pennsylvania.
  • 24-hour call shifts, averaging approximately 13 shifts per 8-week schedule
  • Shift options include 7:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m.
  • Collaborate with a highly experienced team of 5 Neonatologists and 8 full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
  • Enjoy a high level of clinical autonomy with full neonatology physician support
  • Provide care for ELGAN and critically ill neonates
  • State-of-the-art neonatal technology, including jet ventilators and oscillator ventilators
  • Dedicated in-unit lactation consultants, respiratory therapists, and clinical pharmacists
  • Multidisciplinary specialty support from Pediatric Surgery (Johns Hopkins), Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Ophthalmology
